The Happiest Day Ever

8 weeks Pic 1

It's been forever since I've updated, and I apologize.  It's time to announce to my world of blogs that Kim and I are expecting!!!  (It's a nice contrast to the last post).  We've known since the end of September, but we decided to wait to tell everyone until her parents were here over Thanksgiving (so we could tell them in person).  Here's the details:

Baby Olson due May 23rd.  We aren't going to find out what gender the baby is until the day baby Olson is born.  We're also not telling anyone our potential names until the baby is born.  So yeah - lots and lots of surprises in store.  We're very excited - we're going to be parents (to a human)  !!!

Congrats!!! We are expecting April 30th. We are not going to find out if its a boy or a girl, but we did tell names. Expect lots of opposition to the not finding out the sex thing. People have great arguments.....you need clothes, you need to paint a nursery, you need the right stuff. Last time I figured, they wont stop selling clothes at Walmart after my child is born, my child will spend the first couple of months eating, sleeping, pooping and throwing up in my bedroom so the 2 am feedings arent so far away and they will most likely hate what I paint the walls and well, Walmart is Walmart if they close down I can buy baby stuff at Target :) Enjoy the next few months and keep us updated!!!

Congratulations!!!!! Welcome to the parent-to-be club!!!! Hope Kim's first trimester went well. By the looks of things, Baby Olsen is doing great.

And hats off to you for being able to keep everything secret....obviously Brian and I have failed at that on every aspect of this pregnancy! ha!!

Best of luck!!!

LOL! Thanks for the support and encouragement, Steve! No, I'm sure not much has changed from the college days. I knew it when I married him...it's just hit an all time high, especially with the baby coming so soon. What did you guys tell him back then? Nothing I come up with seems to help!

Speaking of babies, how's your little one doing?! And Kim?

@angi1209 -Hmmmm... I wish I had some positive words to say we encouraged him with... but...  we basically gave up.  And just made fun of him (especially when he felt perfectly fine on a Friday night when it was time to go to the movies but tooo sick to go to class... mmhmmm... yeah, we had no compassion on him. LOL.  And here I thought he'd get over being sick by now.  Oh well... maybe once the baby comes, he'll be ready to not be sick.  Good ol' Brian, this sure brings back the memories :)

And speaking of babies, our's is doing well.  So far every test comes back as the baby being healthy, and Kim is doing great.  This has been like the easiest pregnancy ever (easy for me to say!).  We just hit 29 weeks on Friday, so we're just a few weeks behind you :)

mom did send it to me but by then i'd already spent quite a bit of money, the coronado cafe now only has teh graveyard thing from 12 to 6 am so we only hit it once and they no longer have it for only 1.99 it's like 2.99 or something like that now..  we used the bus one day but found the monorail much more convenient and they were having a deal for only 9/day instead of 15/day like it normally is.. so we mostly did that.  The shows and goin to the grand canyon is what set us back quite a bit.. but it was worth it and we had money saved for it.. i only used my credit card for a few things.  Probably spent around 2900 total w/the credit cards tho maybe a bit more.. yikes

HAHA well in february we get what is called profit sharing and since the bank did good last year we got 10% of  what we made for the year given to us in a check minus tax so i had enough from that to pay for the hotel and airline which was about $1280 just for that.  Then we saved all the money we got from christmas and our birthdays plus sold stuff on ebay and on the marketplace at work to pay for the shows and food etc.   so yeah.. not loaded anymore tha'ts for sure lol
